    2 Sweet Sunday Cinema Tickets (May-Aug) - 2x 1 Bag of Sweets = 1 Cinema Ticket 25th Apr 19 at 3:35 PM
The annual Sweet Sundays cinema ticket offer is starting soon but Tesco (other stores?) have the promotial packets on sale early and even better, until 14th May, they are on promotion.

Simply purchase two promotional packets of Starburst or Skittles packets for 1 each (at Tesco) and then after 22nd May, redeem your codes online for a Free cinema ticket, for Sundays only, at a choice of cinema chains between May 25 an August 25th. In previous years, you have been able to claim two tickets per person.

Other Mars branded sweets are or will be available but packets vary between 2-stars and 5-stars, you need 10-stars per ticket. Promotional packs of the sweets below at Tesco include 5-stars but its probably best to purchase in store to guarantee promotional packs.

    Starburst Original 210g (personally confirmed)
    Skittles Fruits 196g (personally confirmed)
    Skittles Fruit Softies 196g
    Starburst Minis 196g

    Sweet Sundays

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 7 May: The popular Sweet Sundays free cinema ticket offer is back from Wed 22 May, however eagle-eyed MoneySavers have already spotted promotional packs, eg, Starburst 210g, on offer for 1 at Tesco until Tue 14 May.

If you buy two large promotional pouches of, eg, Skittles or Starburst youll be able to use codes to get a free cinema ticket for use on Sundays only via an e-code.

Big thanks to mew for the spot!

Does anyone know how to enter the code on the Cineworld site? I've booked a ticket and under payment you can select to pay by credit card, pay-pal or e-gift card but the latter has a field for a PIN which I don't have

I must be stupider than I realised because I've googled it, checked their website multiple times and tried entering the code multiple times in case there was some glitch but nothing works. I found a thread on MSE forums from a year or two ago with the same issue, the member figured it out but didn't bother to say what the problem was!

I can just take the QR code to the box-office but I'd rather print a ticket off at home but more than anything I'm struggling to work out how no one else has had this issue

Put the code in above where you choose what tickets you want.

"Choose your tickets and seating type
Got a ticket voucher code or CEA carer card?

If you are booking tickets with a Gift Box (Christmas, seasonal or other) voucher, enter the code below and complete the booking.
To redeem your second ticket, repeat the process and make another booking using the same code.

    Add it here...

    Type
    My Cineworld Plus price
    an annual fee of 5.95

    Regular price

    Sub total

    Child

    10.69

If for example you want two tickets enter both codes and payment will show as 0.00

    Hope that makes sense

I would contact Cineworld and explain and if no joy Sweet Sundays. It sounds like a problem with the code if it was asking you to still pay for one ticket.

I went back to the first screen and changed the tickets to zero but left the code in and it let me book a ticket. So actually they were automatically adding another ticket and/or not redeeming the code against the selected ticket but adding it to the order.

    Summary for anyone reading this:

    1) Select screening

    2) Select whether to log-in, register or neither
    3) On the next screen enter (paste!) your code in the box above the ticket selection part and click add code. If you want more than one ticket you can chose them here otherwise make sure every item is zero. If you want more than one free ticket I believe you enter your second code here.
    4) Pick a seat then click the confirmation button
    5) fill out the form, tick the T&C box and click the confirmation button and you'll be taken to a screen telling you your booking code and e-ticket details which are also emailed to the address you gave on the previous screen.

Has anyone had any problems with codes not working? I just opened 4 bags of the sweets, that I bought myself, and that were sealed, and went to enter them.on the website, but each code is saying that it's already been redeemed. None of them could have been, as all bags were sealed, so I opened up some spare bags we had, and tried those codes too, and got the same thing.
Has anyone else had this happen?
    Thanks.

Is anyone else having problems registering codes for the Mars Sweet Sundays cinema tickets deal? Details can also be found on the MSE website.

I've tried codes from a number of freshly bought packets, and all fail with a message of "Sorry, this code is invalid or has already been redeemed.". A call to the number in the FAQs (0800 952 0077) resulted in them saying that there is a problem with their IT due to the popularity of the offer, and that "you should just keep trying, day and night, until it hopefully works". That doesn't seem good enough, particularly given that there are only a few more days for this offer to run.

A quick search online suggests that this is a widespread problem. Anyone had any joy getting Mars to process their codes?

Yup. Had exactly the same problems yesterday and today.

A quick search online suggests that this is a widespread problem, and it feels like Mars are simply not doing much/anything about it. Feels like Mars are making money selling their product without honouring their offer. Very poor.

Anyone had any joy with their call centre? We're waiting for a supervisor to call us back.

Re: Sweet Sundays codes not working

I, too, have had exactly the same problem with unused codes not registering over the past couple of days. Had been using an Android tablet and phone (which had accepted codes no problem a few weeks ago), but, in desperation as time is running out, I went to the local library today and tried their public computer and - oh joy! - it worked fine there. This was a Windows 7 computer, using Internet Explorer browser. (Though it could just be coincidence that it worked there and Sweet Sundays have actually sorted out their IT problems now...)

Hope you can manage to get your tickets claimed in time.
