Finance approved but then system crashed so having to reapply

At the weekend we went into Bensons for beds to place an order, we decided to get it 0% interest finance for 9 months. My partner applied for the finance was approved, the bed was ordered, delivery date confirmed and then when it got to the part he had to sign the system wouldn't load so they asked him to come in to complete that part at a later date but not to worry as the bed has been ordered.

He has gone in today and their computer wouldn't load the order up so he was asked to re-go through all of the questions asked when he applied for the finance the first time. He didn't have time so left. Hes worried that applying again will effect his credit rating, does anyone know if it will just match up with the other order or if creation will think its a new order, if they think its a new order then he will go over the limit they offered him so its likely it wouldn't go through anyway. He also doesn't want his credit report to show that hes applying for the finance twice when in reality its one finance agreement.

Not sure the best way to play it, hes paid a deposit of £400 for the bed but doesn't want to mess up his credit rating by going through it all again.

This could be a problem - he's been in once, gone through the finance application then everything apparently went wrong.

He needs to be careful that they don't end up arranging 2 separate finance plans for the one purchase, as you fear.

Remember no1 can see the credit rating, it's the history lenders see.
