Does anyone else on here work on Freelancer.com ?
I've been signed up for two weeks now and finding it almost impossible to navigate.
There seem to be plenty of jobs posted, but often they are incredibly vague sounding. If you find something that looks promising and leave a bid (I always type a proposal response too even though no other !!!!!! does!) 90% of the time I'm getting no response - even if freelancer says my chance of being accepted is high, or worse still they hide my bid which results in a negative influence on my bid score and lowers my chance of future successful bids.
And I'd say the other 10% of the time turns out to be a scam: either they send you an info file which is a virus or ask you to sign up to another website or pay a server/project fee etc.
Add to that, Freelancer is asking you for money left right and centre - a monthly membership fee, they take a percentage of your project fee, charge you to add skill badges needed to apply for the decent jobs and so on.
I have somehow managed to pick up one regular writing job which is making me about $50-$60 dollars a week for a few hours work (not exactly mega bucks but it all adds up)
Am I doing something wrong or is this website just the worst? Any other ideas for content writing/editor jobs that I can do from home?
