Hi we have received our mortgage in principle from Halifax and have a few viewings lined up for this week.
Regarding solicitors do we find one ourself or when we get an offer accepted do the bank or our broker reccommed one to us? TIA

You find one yourself - ask for recommendations from friends and family - then request quotes from the sols so you can compare the costs.

Your broker may recommend one - but you should still get a few quotes to compare.

The bank wont recommend anyone, the broker may.

Do not use the agents solicitor or broker. Conflict of interests and they usually with solicitors get a hefty kick back, I have seen up to £300 before now - which you end up paying directly or indirectly.
