1. The promoter is: Edinburgh Communications Ltd (company no. SC471175) whose registered office is at 13 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4BH, United Kingdom.

2. The competition is open to residents worldwide aged 18 years or over, except staff or officers of Edinburgh Communications Ltd and Edincomm Ltd, and their close relatives.

3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6. Only one registration will be accepted per person. Multiple registrations from the same person will be disqualified. Similarly, entries marked by the Gleam.io system as being potentially fraudulent, may be invalidated by the promoter.

7. Closing date for entry will be 13th September 2017. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

12. The prize is as follows: 1 x Samsung Galaxy S8 (UK version, SIM-free) The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13. Winner will be chosen at random by the Gleam.io web-based application, from all entries received and verified by promoter and or its agents.

14. The winner will be notified by email and/or direct message on Facebook within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

15. The promoter will send the prize to the name and address the winner specifies. This will be by Special Delivery within the U.K. and by courier to the rest of the world. The winner shall be responsible for ensuring that delivery details are correct, and the promoter will consider the prize delivered successfully upon receiving notice from the courier/Royal Mail.

16. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

18. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.

19. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

23. The recipient of the prize is responsible for paying all charges, duty, administration fees, or taxes, that might be imposed by the customs authorities of their country of residence. The prize will be declared as a “competition prize” on consignment documents, and this will/must not be altered under any circumstances.

24. The promoter shall not be responsible for the compatibility of the prize with cell phone networks in the winner’s country of residence.

25. Edinburgh Communications’ decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

27. Edinburgh Communications shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

28. Edinburgh Communications also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.

As a way of gaining entries into the competition, participants are invited to perform certain actions, including but not limited to, subscribing to mailing lists, following companies on social media, and tweeting or posting status updates. Participants are requested to leave these actions in place. The drawn winner will be assessed at the competition close to see if all awarded entries have their corresponding actions present. Edinburgh Communications reserves the right to invalidate entries that have had their actions deleted by the participant.
