Best courier companies - own car

Morning all,
I would like to deliver parcels to earn some money, as I am currently unemployed and need to make ends meet until I get another job.
Of the ones around (Hermes, DPD, etc), which ones do you recommend or have experience with? I am aware that I would use my own car. Which one pays better per parcel, how often do they pay, is it monthly?
Many thanks,

Hermes pay per parcel and they're growing pretty fast. My courier seems real happy with them.0

Hi Tinuel,
DPD pay by the delivery about £1.20 and mileage 30p per mile. You'll be paid weekly and you'd probably be asked to make yourself available over the weekends inc Sunday as they are now open 7 days pw. You will need to have business insurance on your car and your car will need to be in good condition. You will get training - you won't be paid for that.
Just turn up at the depot and ask to speak to a Shift Manager or Depot Manager, they will start taking on about now ready for Christmas.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

I'd recommend MyHermes too, I have a friend who works for them and most of their parcels can be left with a neighbour or in a safe place so you don't have to keep going back to the same places meaning the payment per parcel adds up quicker0
