Check your £2 statutory credit reports with Equifax and Experian. You can get the Call Credit report for free through Noddle.
  • As well as doing what is suggested above, you could block the number if you have a decent smartphone. In all probability it is a fishing expedition, made in the hope of frightening someone into contacting them. Don't do so under any circumstances.

I get quite a lot of these sort of messages. They are phishing attempts, so you need to delete them.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    MMF are MotorMile Finance

They deal with a lot of aged Payday lender accounts.

Swift Sterling and Payday Express are two of their other "clients"

Looks like a phising text to me, trying to get you to call and then give them a few details. Be cautious.

    Update:

Today i received a notification from equifax of new information.

Motormile finance have now added a default to my report dated 12/2008.

I have no recollection of ever having a payday loan with Pounds Till Payday and have searched emails ect but nothing.

    A few questions:

Can Motormile finance add a default to my account after all this time?

Even if i did have an agreement with Pounds Till Payday should the default not have come from them rather than Motormile finance as i have no contract with them?

    Should i complain to equifax?

    What should i do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why would you even ask this question?

Sounds like there is more to this.
