Travelling on a London travelcard then buying the last leg for the same train!

Hi,

I'll have a London all zones travelcard and need to travel in the evening to Theobald's Grove, which is just outside zone 6.

The last station on the line is Turkey Street.

Can I use my Travelcard to Turkey Street, then have a pre-purchased ticket for the single stop from Turkey Street to Theobald's Grove?

Thanks in advance!

If you're doing this on a regular basis it might be easier / cheaper if you put the travel card on an oyster and then when / if you go out of the zones it just debits the oyster

If it's outside the zone there wont be Oyster readers, OP wants to stay on the train. I've done this in the past when I went outside the zone system

Last time I looked, there wasn't an Oyster reader at Theobalds Grove so yes buy the return extension ticket in advance at Liverpool Street if that's where you're getting on (or at Seven Sisters if you're swapping from the Victoria line).

When you get to the ticket office to buy your ticket, ask for a Boundary Zone 6 to Theobald's Grove, it should be the same price or cheaper and allows you a degree of extra flexibility.

You can buy the Turkey Street - Theobald's Grove ticket online if you want (but not the boundary zone 6 ticket).
