Ahh / Genie / Belvia Bra - Do any of them give better support for a bigger bust?

I need a more comfortable Bra at the moment without a wire (normally wear Panache Tango) and have been looking at these.

I'm a 34E so realise they are not really going to be as supportive as I need however I am just going to have to sacrifice support for comfort for a while!

Have any of you ladies tried the various brands and found one more supportive than others? I have seen the cheesy TV ads etc. I think it's the Ahh Bra that shows people wearing 2 Bras at a time!?! I definitely don't want to do that!!

    Hi onandup

i thought about these myself but had a look at the reviews ( just type in aah bra reviews - plenty of them) and for a larger bust, they don't seem to give a lot of support. I shelved the idea, unless I magically get to a B cup!

I've never tried any of those bras as they don't look anywhere near supportive enough IMO, but as a 28FF I find non-wired sports bras very comfortable and obviously very supportive as that's what they've made for! Some of them do give you a bit of a weird shape though. I have two and one is too 'pointy' to wear for anything but sports, but the other is in a crop-top kind of style and could be worn under most tops with fairly high necks. It's actually quite good at 'minimising' too.

Ive got a set of Ahh bras. I am a DD cup but they dont really give any support.

I wouldnt dream of buying them if i my boobs were any bigger as I'm sure my boobs would sag very quickly.

They aint much good for the love life either.:(

I have been very tempted by the adverts -but wonder how honest they are - the models have no hint of a nipple in them and the bras appear to give a smooth bust almost as if it's a tshirt bra but how can this be when they are not padded at all?
    Giving them a miss

I bought some similar ones from ebay, they have a removable padded insert that goes between the two layers, which does give a bit more shape, they are very comfortable, a bit hot in this weather. I found the insert does tend to move around a bit so when I'd got them just where I needed them I put a couple of stitches to hold them in place. Bought one to try and then ordered somemore.

I am size 38dd and was fed up of straps digging in shoulders, straps falling down, soreness from underwire, lace rubbing against skin etc. but then I happened to buy a bra my size in Asda's sale that fitted well, held me up & and was so comfortable. I hadn't noticed the 'name' of it when I bought it in the sale... just that it was my size!

The bra happens to be a Post Surgery Bra...

Although I haven't had surgery, I decided to buy some more. I have 5 'white' ones and 3 black ones. (for 'white' read 'now a shade of gray!)
I've had the collection for at least 3 years with no sign 'wear & tear' apart from the gray colouring. It might be time to dye my graying batch (if they will take some dye) and buy some new white ones.

If you live near an Asda it might be worth your while trying some on!

I have five of the black Belvias bought in ASDA. Putting them on can be a PITA because the straps tend to roll up a bit but by pulling the hem down and adjusting (probably no more timewasting than fishing for straps at the back) I'm now quite fast at getting the bra smooth. I step in to put on and pull them over my head to take off.

The Belvia bras are really comfortable, I slept in one on a couple of occasions. They don't dig in, ride up, fall down or look horrible if a top moves and shows the strap. Once on and adjusted I never have to think about wearing the bra at all, just don't notice it.

I don't think they are designed for women who need what my husband calls an over the shoulder boulder holder so if you are massively endowed then I wouldn't think they'd be suitable, no.

The only downside in Summer for me is that not being cotton they make me feel hot.
