Just to say with postcode lottery comps, they will phone you
to try and sell you a subscription.

I was inundated with calls from them for a while, now I only enter with the first four digits of my mobile number, not sure if that invalidates my entry although they would still have the option of emailing if you won.
  • Really bad for marketing calls. I've now got the number blocked on my phone because they would not take no for an answer.

I don't think they'll all like that, but from what I've read here many times, this lot definitely are. I use a free postcode lottery every day. They email a daily reminder to check, which you can cancel (but why would you?)

It's here if you're interested - I've never had any spam from them:

Edit: Oops, thanks hunnycat: Copied your clean link: http://www.freepostcodelottery.com/ I wasn't trying for any referrals, I only meant to show that they're not all spammy

After entering just one comp with them, they actually phoned me on my mobile trying to flog me stuff. Usually I seem to be safe with just giving my mobile number for comps, but not with these guys. Never again.

if thats your referral link then i think you will need to move it to the referrals board.

Thanks for posting, but I'm giving these a wide berth. Numerous calls, even to a mobile I don't use. Persistent pests they are.
    What a load of dunderheids!

Myself and partner & mum and dad do the one that you quoted above and thats fine - its just a daily draw for £20 (that can roll over) im not sure if its connected to the same one in the comp.

But we've never had a call from the link here, but if you look at the 'competition' address - http://www.postcodelottery.co.uk/Competition.htm-

Im sure its a different company, my advice is maybe leave an odd digit out or just do the free one.

(lol just to be clear http://www.freepostcodelottery.com/ & http://www.postcodelottery.co.uk/Competition.htm ARE different companies or at least different subsidarys)
I do the freepostcodelottery daily (just check the postcode drawn) and they have never phoned or emailed me apart from to say each days draw is on..
Whereas https://www.postcodelottery.co.uk have called all of us and for some reason they phoned my dad at work 8 times the other day??
Trying to sell him a subscription.

I got a phone call, but i told them that i only wanted to enter for the ipad and i do not do any lotteries. The woman said she would take me of the list and have not received anymore calls and that was 2 weeks ago. Keeping my fingers crossed for the win though

I've had a call from them everyday for 2 weeks and sometimes multiple times a day. Stopped entering because of it but is too late for me lol I'd avoid if you don't want calls because they don't give up
