Lillywhites/sportsdirect poor customer service

on 10.4.12 i spent about 40mins sorting out trakkie bottoms in the very busy Picadilly Lillywhites shop. According to the offers shown on the racks they were 2 for £11 but after queueing a long time I was told at the checkout this wasn't the case. I went back to the racks and asked to see the manager. She explained that the offer only applied to those at the front of the rack. I was very annoyed as having spent so long finding pairs that I wanted the displayed offer sign was very misleading and ridiculous to expect customers to know that the offer only applied to those at the front of the rack

We brought some school shoes for my son yesterday, stupidly thinking that like any other shop, providing they were in original packaging, tags still on, unused etc, we could return them for a refund less than 24 hours later - but no!
My wife went to return them as they didn't fit only to be told that they don't do refunds. We could only have an exchange which wasn't any good as they didn't have the correct size or an alternative. When she argued about where it says that they don't do refunds she was pointed to a small sign, positioned under the counter which if you were standing at the till, you couldn't see as you would be standing against it.
Despite breaking down in tears, talking very loudly, and not to mention the manager unbelievably saying "you can stand there as long as you like but we close at 6pm", she finally managed to get the £15 refund.
Be warned, if there is the slightest chance or needing to return an item, DO NOT buy anything from them!:mad:0 -
