Swift Sterling Loan problems, please help

Hi,
Can someone please provide me with some assistance and advice, I have a loan with Swift Sterling and they don't want to accept my proposal of £100 per month from a £650 loan. I made a few loans witht them since January and always paid it in full, June I suffered heavy financial set backs, which led me to default on my loan, I have however notified Swift Sterling a few weeks before it was due that I will not be able to pay the full amount and if they could set up an arrangement to have it paid off on a month basis.
They didn't accept, but I still paid £100 in June and another £100 last month, the amount I lend from them was £650. Their debt collectors called on Saturday and said I must pay over £800 in full else legal action will be taken where I will be liable for all costs. I was so upsed when I heard this despite trying to pay it up I told the rud agent to proceed. My daughter has Chicken Pox and I'm so tyred from work and studies which is why I told them to proceed cause there's nothing I can do.
I still wanted to explain to him about my situation and he said he wasn't interested and hung up. I had another loan with txt loan, but they happily agreed to accept £50 per month, I'm currently paying £60 per month.
What can I do please, what can I do.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi
Have you tried taking a trip to your local citizens advice beruae
These people are full of crap i know a friend who run thousands of pounds of debt and they rung him all the time threatning him etc he only paid £400 and his debts was cleared, they think they are big and hard down the phone but i bet majority of them wouldnt say it to your face.
I wouldnt worry about it that much just give them as much as they give you on the phone, just tell them if they keep pestering you then you will contact the police as pestering phone calls can be breaching peoples privacy from what ive been told anyhow.
I owe Wonga £400 but i just tell them how it is be my guest keep sticking the interest on it and pass it on to a debt collector my family come first ive had people giving me crap on the phone i just raise my voice at them and say come on you have my address come say it to my face.
They are just pencil pushers leave them to it lol bet they have debts themself0 -

And then they grin as they screw up your credit rating for the next 6 years, meaning you can't get any more loans/credit cards/car hp or a mortgage.
Brilliant, aren't you the clever man!0 -

Just stick to making the payments you can afford each month. If they do take court action against you then you need to complete the forms to ask to be able to pay in installments and set out your finances. A judge should not order you to pay more than you can afford.
Have you actually written with your repayment proposal and explained the reason for your change in financial circumstances - or did you just try to set up a repayment over the phone?
If you haven't yet done so I would send them a written offer of the £100 a month.
If you want to stop phone calls then there is a template letter you can send to ask for all communication to be in writing and to stop calling - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=11571485&postcount=4A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
