Cleanser for sensitive but combination skin

I need some help ladies as I have sensitive skin which becomes oily if a use products which are too harsh with open pores especially around my T-zone yet find that many sensitive skin cleansers are gloopy and block my pores.

Does anyone else have skin like mine? Any recommendations?

I've tried Cleanse and Polish but found it left me with a greasy forehead

  • I have recently switched to The Body Shop's aloe range..I was actually introduced to it during a mystery shop there!! My skin was sensitiv/combination and I found a lot of cleansers blocked my pores. But I can honestly say, my skin has never felt better, it's soft, smooth and blemishes seem to be less, I swear by the stuff now! http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/catalog/product.aspx?ParentCatCode=C_SkinCare&CatCode=C_SkinCare_Cleansers&prdcode=22609m

I'm another vote for Body Shop. Havent tried the Aloe, but I swear by their passion fruit cleansing gel - it cleans effectively but is very gentle so great for T zones.

  • I've spend the last 40+ years looking for exactly the same thing and have recently bought the Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser for Dry/Sensitive skin. Don't let the "Dry" part of the title fool you though. I have an extremely oily T-Zone but find that most cleansers aimed at oily/combo skin leave my face taut and uncomfortable but this cleanser, together with the Clarins Extra Comfort Toning Lotion for Dry/Sensitive skin has made a huge difference to my skin.

You should be able to try before you buy too - ask for some samples as they are available.

  • You can't go wrong with the Simple Range.

Don't go for the top end of the range, just the standard Cleanser, Toner (I use the cleansing wipes for make up removal first) and then I find Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Serum is just perfect for the end.

Another vote for OCM. My enlarged pores have all but disappeared in the 7 months I've been doing this, and I haven't had any breakouts or any more problems with oily areas on my sensitive skin. :)
  • My Mum used to work for Clinique so I've had a chance to try loads of their products!

They do a Redness Solutions range, good for combination skin. They can do a free assessment on your skin at any counter and give you little samples to try before you commit yourself to buying anything. I use Estee Lauder Toner, its gentle and cleans your skin without making it feel dry and stretched. Lasts ages for a £18 bottle.

Clarins is also great, my friend with her dry face and oily forehead says she would recommend them. They will also give you samples to try.
