I'm being bad an ordering a delivery

Since January 1st 2010, I've been on a mission to lose weight and have managed around half a stone so far (not excellent, but it's slowly dropping off). I've been to the gym nearly every day for the last two weeks.

I've given in tonight though and ordered a curry with rice and namb (?) bread.
I will be sharing it with my mother, but it's still thousands of calories.

I feel so guilty and am definitely going to hate myself after! :D

Savour it and enjoy it, then get back on track tomorrow. There's no benefit to depriving yourself all of the time:)

And congratulations on your weight loss to date:T

  • A little bit of what you fancy does you good, if you didnt have a treat every now and then you would ultimately rebel when you got to target weight and possibly put a lot on. At least this way you wont feel deprived iykwim? Enjoy and get back on the wagon tomorrow :)

imo you need to have a treat every now and then otherwise at some point you will give up and eat like you used to
  • As others have said you need a treat every now and again, see it as a reward and then get back to working out tomorrow, I'm sure you'll burn it off in no time.

I have lost 2 stone since October by going to the gym and I still have a takeaway once a week. I am always amazed at my weigh ins when I've still went down. Remember when you are exercising, especially as regularly as you are, your body will use the calories you take in more effectively, so the odd take away won't slow down your progress.
Enjoy. Life is too short! :)

  • Mmm that sounds lovely. I hope you enjoyed it. It's all about balance in the end. Half a stone is great, what's wrong with that? The slower it comes off the better.

I did WW a long time ago and every week after weigh in I would have a takeaway, anything I wanted. It was great and kept me on the straight and narrow the rest of the week.
