Glass shard found in Dolmio sauce????

Aaahh. Just made a lovely pasta bake. Courgettes from garden, Mushrooms, Pasta and a jar of Dolmia pasta bake sauce & Mozarella. It was yummy until I found a shard of glass in it. Scary as I was eating with my 2 and 5 year old. I felt something in my mouth and spat it out, no damage done, thankfully. I'm pretty certain its come from the sauce as I baked it a ceramic dish and we generally use plastic cups (kids, clumsy parents!).
What can I do?

I would check that it isnt a peice of the inside of the jar, thats come off in transit from the factory to your house.

If it isnt then it must have come from the factory itself.

Either way I would write a polite letter to Dolmio, not threatening or demanding anything.

Just informing them that they MAY have a contamination problem.

I would imagine they might send you some freebies.

If the piece of glass isn't from the jar of sauce, forget about writing to dolmio. It could have come from the Courgettes, the Mushrooms or the Pasta. If it's from the jar write to Dolmio, they should be more than happy to deal with your complaint as it could be a common problem to the jars, lids, etc.
