ISP's & mobile phones

Can i get the help of you experts plse.

I was ok with mobile phoes when they were used to call people. Now I want to venture into using them with my laptop...largely for e-mail. I gather this GRPS system is hard to set up (for us luddites anyway) so would prefer to use ordinary dial-up...and seems cheaper anyway.

Does anyone know which (if any) ISP's have geographic dial-up numbers so can use inclusive mins?
Amazing how anynetwork, anytime doesn't include 080,0845,0870 etc!

Thansks
