JBW Enforcement

Options
Today I got a call from someone looking for a Simon, I told the guy was the wrong number, no Simon here. He said an address and asked me if is that the address, I told him is not, next he asked me to confirm my address, I told him I won't and I hanged up.
Done a 1471 on the phone, got the number 02074229390, gave them a call from my mobile (after I switched off caller ID) and someone answered the phone saying JBW how can I help. Next I hanged up and went on google, found JBW and turns out are bailiffs.
My big dilema is... We don't have any debt, no reminders, no red letters and so on, and there is no Simon here
Why is JBW contacting us and why they tried to trick me into giving my address when I told them there is no Simon here?
I think it's a bit out of order.

Any ideas what to do next?

if you have no debts , then just make a note and ignore it.

there are companies phising for information ,it may be they have and old debt against that address or something and are just trying it on, unfortunately there are more and more people trying this on.

Dont be tempted to call or write again ignore them ,if they call back ,tell them to write and hang up. if it persists report them, t otrading standards ministry of justice ,oft all of them.

    Thanks for the advice Russt.
I didn't plan to call them again and no way I'm gonna write to them.
We kept receiving letters from debt collector agencies for some people who lived here before my partner bought the flat, but when we got them, she was calling them and let them know the person doesn't live here from years and someone else is the owner of the flat.
Luckly we are not stupid to give the address or detailes to someone over the phone, can't know who is on the other side of the line and how is going to use the information.

JBW Enforcement are indeed a bailiff company. They represent a number of mainly london local authorities most particularly for unpaid parking tickets to include the following councils:

    Transport for London
    Medway
    Wandsworth
    London Borough of Southwark.

I would certainly suggest contacting them again to avoid a visit to your property.
