Hi,
At 40, I'm about to get my first pension.
From research, I have two types to choose from. SIPP or a Stakeholder. Is this correct?
Which is the best and how do i go about choosing one for myself. Or is it a case of getting a broker to do it for me?
I would be putting in £4000 p/a so £5000 with tax relief.
Thanks for any input.

Three retail types. Stakeholder pension, personal pension and SIPP.Which is the best and how do i go about choosing one for myself. Or is it a case of getting a broker to do it for me?
you dont buy pensions from brokers. It would be either an IFA or FA (you should avoid FAs and only use IFAs). So, your choice is to DIY or use an IFA.
Which is best will depend on what you are looking for and whether you want to DIY or use an IFA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
