Sorry if this is the wrong way to go about doing this but I’m new on here.
Does £11K sound too expensive for a 4kw system installed with lifetime warranty seem too high. Only just had chance to start looking at other guided prices but they don’t stipulate a warranty length. I’m wife had provisionally agreed at the £11k should we cancel?

    Hiya and welcome.

    CANCEL IT.

Once that's done perhaps have a read of this very recent thread, which went from £9k (insanely expensive) to £5.5k in one month.

Which Company for Solar in Cambridge?

Then, perhaps, start a new thread, something like, 'thinking about PV', and the PV'ers on here will descend with advice and support.

    All the best.

    PS - CANCEL IT.

Attention grabbing headline, plus a great little graph to watch, quite hypnotic.

How Great Britain’s breakthrough year for renewables could have powered the past
50% of the country’s electricity came from wind, solar, hydro, nuclear and biomass in 2017. Renewables alone produced enough to power 1958.

We're gonna need a bigger batt.

EU Battery Alliance wants 20 EU giga factories, Saft announces partnership with Siemens, Manz and Solvay
The EU Battery Alliance is calling on industry to take advantage of the expected 2025 €250 billion battery market by establishing between 10 and 20 European giga battery factories. Saft, meanwhile, has announced an alliance with Siemens, Manz and Solvay to work on advanced lithium ion and solid-state battery technology.

    Hi

Need? -or- Want because at that volume economies of scale & competition means they'll likely be far more affordable? ... :D;)

Great piece on water sourced heat pumps on the latest episode of Fully Charged. Enormous potential in the UK, using either river water or sea water, but these are large scale units.

    Sorry

Don't be! We're all glad to have the opportunity to say CANCEL. Mine cost £6K years ago before the cost of panels came down.

UK wind power output is the highest I've ever noticed at 13.7 GW according to https://www.energynumbers.info/gbgrid - only just short of the 14 GW limit of the dial.

That's including the estimates for embedded wind, which Gridwatch doesn't show, plus energynumbers comes without Gridwatch's rather dubious agenda.

Hiya, the guy behind it chats on the navitron forum under 'azps'. Incredibly helpful and informative, really knows his stuff, I've posted this old article before as it's so interesting:-
