Loan After Mortgage

Hello,

Is there a recommended route to follow to apply for a loan following the acceptance of a mortgage.

We are due to move in Dec (new build) and would be looking to apply for around £5000 - £75000 to cover the cost of furnishing the home. No issues with repayments for it as the mortgage and cost of repayments to any loan would still be less than our current rent.

We wont be applying until we are in the door of the new home so we dont risk the mortgage, but any other advice to follow? Or recommended providers to approach.

    I'm guessing that's a typo and you mean between £5,000 and £7,500?

You will get the best rates for £7,500, although note that only 51% of applicants can achieve the headline rates advertised.

Most furniture stores will offer 0% interest finance, so probably best to look at these options first.

Apply to 2 lenders maximum when the time comes and see what you get offered. Anything over 6 or 7 % and it maybe better to get a couple of money transfer and balance transfer credit cards and do the shuffle for a couple of years.
