Can you please tell us what you have found so far.

National Rail Enquiries might be a good starting point.

Are you considering coach as well as train?

Difficult to help as the dates are confused.

    7th July is a Sunday.

    Rail

lner.co.uk will sell you the cheapest rail tickets for the trip - free wifi if you book through them.

It may pay to buy a two together railcard for £30 if the 33% discount more than covers the cost of the card.

Coach will probably be a lot cheaper as I suspect by now most advanced rail tickets will have been sold.

Thank you for your response. I have looked on trainline, but I am seeing £85.00 return per person on the train taking 2.5 hours roughly

You just travel together I.e. if one is ill, the other cannot use the ticket.
Cannot be use at certain time (early morning I think).
Also you need to carry it. Recently they’ve been checking a lot (on GWR).

Sorry for the slightly off-topic post, but FYI Since the start of the year the LNER Wifi is now free for everybody, even if you book elsewhere. (Whereas before you used to get sent WiFi codes if buying tickets via the LNER website).

OP, Have you tried split ticketing, just in case you can get a cheaper fare by say booking London to Grantham, and Grantham to Leeds, even if you have to change trains at Doncaster [for example a Northern advance ticket for the stopping service between Leeds & Doncaster, and a LNER/GC/Hull Trains service to/from London). Although like others have said it is likely the cheaper rate advances have already gone.
