Emphasising honest materials and usability, Jasper uses a familiar form in idealised proportions to draw attention to the possibilities of an undervalued, everyday object with his Crate design. The Crate appealed to Jasper because it represented the antithesis to ego-driven design and now, with this extension to the family, Morrison is underlining his commitment to those same design qualities.

The new 'Standing Wave' series depicts the natural frequencies and vibrational patterns of sound and music, by inhouse artist Shane McCarthy (Master of Fine Art from Goldsmiths, first degree at IADT, Dublin). His work is held in private collections and he has collaborated with iconic designers prior to joining Volume collective. .

On the tenth day of #LDFchristmas Montreal-based lighting and furniture company @gabrielscott is offering three sets of these smoked, hand-blown glass candleholders with a satin-brass finished based from its glamorous Welles series.

​Brothers-in-law Gabriel Kakon and Scott Richler founded the company in 2012 while working as architects in Montr!al. With their backgrounds in fashion, jewellery design and industrial design, they were increasingly being asked to design the furniture and lighting in clients’ projects and hence @gabrielscott was born. The company’s London showroom opened on Old Burlington Street in Mayfair this past September.
