Secrets of our National Trust Middlethorpe Hall Additional Terms and Conditions

Competition opened at 16.00 on 23.04.2019
Competition closes at midday on 30.09.2019 and 3 working days later for postal entries.
1) The prize comprises:

• Standard class return rail travel for two from UK mainland station nearest to the prize winner’s home address to York, unless the winner’s home address is in Northern Ireland, in which case, the prize will include return economy class flights and transfers to and from the hotel;
• Return private transfers for two between York train station and the hotel;
• Three (3) nights’ accommodation for two at Middlethorpe Hall & Spa, based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a Main House Bedroom on a bed and breakfast basis (subject to availability);
• Three-course dinner for two on two evenings at the hotel restaurant (excludes drinks);
• Afternoon tea for two at the hotel on one day;
• 50-minute spa treatment each in the hotel’s spa;
• National Trust annual membership for two; and
• £500 spending money for the prize winner only.

2)The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
3) The prize is valid for 12 months from the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and cannot be taken over York Race days https://www.yorkracecourse.co.uk/racing-fixtures.html UK Bank Holidays ( 4th & 25th May 2020; 31st August 2020), Easter (10th April 2020 to 13th April 2020) and 19th December 2019 to 4th January 2020.
4) Should the prize winner prefer to drive themselves a mileage allowance up to the value of £200 will be offered and the rail allowance and taxi transfers will be forfeited. The allowance will be calculated at 45p per mile from the prize winner’s home address to Middlethorpe Hall & Spa.
5) Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the hotel. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotel for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companions adhere to the local laws in the UK.
6) The prize excludes transfers between the winner’s home and the train station/airport, drinks, additional meals, excursions, attractions, beauty treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, travel insurance and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
7) It is the responsibility of the prize winner to inform the prize provider of any wheelchair or similar access requirements for the prize winner and his/her companion when taking the prize, and to adhere to any applicable health and safety guidelines.
8) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the accommodation or any facilities being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.
9) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.
Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
10) A cheque for the spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.
