I did look for other threads on this topic on MSE, but couldn't find any.
How are other folk getting on with the new privacy settings on certain competitions, such as the daily competitions including Woman, Woman's Weekly, et cetera?
From experience, I am very mistrustful of TI Media (and Bauer and Aceville), and at first I was just fed up with having to check the settings almost every morning. I thought that perhaps these would change over time, so that it was as well to check that they hadn’t.
Well, this morning they had. Under (no doubt) the pretext of new companies requesting access to my data, a lot of the companies listed (all of which I had previously set as OFF) were now ON.
I had to go through them all again (and there were a lot), setting them to OFF.
But there is the option of saying “I do not Accept.” One is still allowed access to enter the competitions, but is it then worthwhile?
As I have only ever won once with these daily magazine competitions (a rather inferior six-bottle case of wine), I am wondering whether just to ditch them altogether. There are fewer and fewer good prizes anyway.
How do others feel? Has anybody any knowledgeable advice?

Should make no difference if the site is legit.
I don't do mag dailies but imagine it is just a more recent version of the list that many websites use so if you forget or do not realise on one website then you have let them all in anyway.
I have various comping (and other) e-mail addresses and have not received any bad e-mails from what I consider legit companies including the multitude of Bauer Competitions Those I consider a bit dubious or just want to check out go to other e-mail addresses and the majority have produced spam as I half expected them to anyway (do Shaw Academy ever stop with their final offers?)After reading this thread, I decided to have a look at the privacy settings on the Simply Media Click to wins. There were over 250 named companies that were going to share my data with!!!!

That is the pretty much the same list as Bauer Media and probably on lots of other sites as it appears to be tied into behavioral advertising/cookies rather than sending you e-mailsVendor list
