Speed up mortgage application

Hi,
I've applied for a mortgage with YBS. It should all be pretty straightforward but the underwriters seem to take an age to make progress and it keeps getting held up by little things such as getting an original transcript for the valuation, getting confirmation from my employer about relocation.
I know that in large part this is just my impatience (and lack of control) made worse by pretty one way communication (me nagging!) but I wonder if there is anything I can do to speed the process up as I know that the sellers want to move to completion ASAP and I want to get to exchange ASAP to secure the purchase.
My contact is the mortgage advisor and whilst she is helpful, she can be hard to get hold of and intermittent with email replies that mostly just say 'don't worry we are making progress' followed by days of silence with no progress.
I have done all I can at 'my end' such as informing my employers to expect contact and passing on all relevant contact details to the mortgage advisor.
Can I jump above her to the underwriters or are there any other routes by which I may be able to speed things along?
Or do I just need to be patient!
Thanks very much

Is the advisor an employee of YBS? Can you ask the advisor if there is anything else they are likely to request?
One thing I do if I have anything that might be a problem or need additional underwriting is to speak to our account managers about what is likely to be needed in order to pre-empt these things. If it is a lender we use regularly we would typically get those things upfront and send them over with the application. Assuming you are dealing with an employee of the YBS (as I do not think they deal directly with brokers) they should know what is likely to be needed.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. if your a mechanic and your paid the same whether you do 10 or 100 cars, a customer keeps nagging you fix their car which is in queue number x.
Do you think it will hasten things? On the contrary they might leave it last
Wait like everyone else, nothing you do will quicken things, assuming you have given all correct documentation e,t,c"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If you think the underwriting is slow, just wait for the conveyancing to start0
