Sorry Another Endowment Query

Options
I am currently in contact with my endowment provider ( I could post the actual company if it would help) regarding the mis-selling of my policy resulting in a shortfall.

They claim that as I purchased it through a broker I would have to contact them. Problem is the broker is no longer in buisiness.

My arguement is that he was selling the policy on behalf of them and therefor I still have a claim with them.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct or am I wasting my time on this?

If it was after 1988 you can complain via the FOS (financial ombudsman service). If its pre early 1988, you have no-one to complain to. If the broker was attached to the life company, you could still complain to them and give that a go.
