Council Tax v Electoral Roll

Options
Just after some advice with regards to Council Tax and how this might affect my details on the Electoral Register.

Currently live with Father (Address A). Electoral register has this as my address, same for bank accounts, driving licence, passport etc.

I'm moving to my Mother's house (Address B) she will therefore lose the single occupancy benefit on her council tax when she informs them.

My main question is, when she does this, will this affect the Electoral register? And I'll need to change all my main forms of ID addresses etc?

Thank you.

Any single person discount will be removed once you move in and the property becomes your 'sole or main residence'.

Each person has to register on the electoral roll themselves so the only person who needs to worry about that would be yourself so that you become registered at the new address.

If your main address changes then you are supposed to update the DVLA if you have a driving licence but the Passport Office don't need to know.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
