Cheerios currently small 375g box 26p/100g - Big 600g box on "PriceCrunch" special offer 50p/100g - at Morrisons. Same day, same shelf, same store. On Monday 16 Jan in Morrisons, Bideford.
Buy three small boxes get 1125g of Cheerios for price of 600g.
Big box should be £2.25 not £3. Both are shown as "reduced prices" on shelf tickets.
The price madness goes right up the supply chain. Nestle's own website has Cheeros at the same prices in the same box sizes.

  • More research, more bonkers pricing ... Tesco online has big 600g box £1.65 and small 375g box £2.50. Here buying in the small box is 2.4 * more expensive per 100g which is the " way round" but a huge mark up. 27p/100g against 66p/100g in smaller box.

Its just because in Morrisons the smaller box is on offer while the bigger box is full price, so therefore buy multiples of the smaller box.

What is slightly unusual is that mostly the supermarkets have the same offers, but it's the other way round in Tesco, the small box is full price, but they've got the bigger box on offer, so buy the bigger box if you are in Tesco.
