    What does 'secured' actually mean?

My limited research shows that it simply tends to mean that the applicant is a 'home owner'.

Since nine out of every ten such have their deeds with mortgage lenders, in what sense can any smaller loan by a third party be secured against the property concerned..?

... which begs the further question: can/does 'secured lending' take place against the value of other things such as second properties etc??

Sorry, but i'm not too sure how these Forums work. A quick question, I took out a secured loan four months ago for 29000, I've paid 250 a month to date and am now in a position to clear it. the settlement figure I've been given is £30800. This is a tad annoying. Is there anyway out of paying all this extra cash? I wouldn't mind paying back the full 29000 borrowed and they can keep the thousand already paid back.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

can anyone give me info. on a company called Click Loans. I need a secured loan to clear my income tax arrears and home improvements. Have a ccj, so unsecured not possible. Am currently waiting for them to come up with aloan for me (£10000 over 5yrs). Has anyone had any bad experiences with this company?

secured loans are probably the easiest way to get a loan and most probably the last lending resort if and when the collateral is significant.
You would say that you stinking spammer.

ive never seen such an amount of spam in one thread!

btw, a secured loan, is a loan secured on some assets, usually your house.
almost anyone can get an unsecured loan for say 15k. (ive got one from cahoot at 5.9%)
if you credit rating isnt good enough for an unsecured loan, then its not a wise idea, to get a loan with a charge on your house. esp with some crazy interest rate!
    Get some gorm.
