in Cutting tax
Hi all,
Newbie here looking for some help please.
I'm currently going through the joy of redundancy but thankfully I have 15 years service and my company are offering a very good package. I also have been very fortunate in finding a new job. I dont currently trigger 40% tax but my redundancy payment will mean that I will be in that bracket for the rest of the year. Does anyone know of any online calculators or pages to help understand what I will be paying in tax for the rest of the year please? I know I have options of diverting money to pensions, etc but i wanted to understand tax implications before deciding on that.
Many thanks x:cool:

You can do it month by month with this one but I don't think there are any that will give you the 12mth view in one. https://www.uktaxcalculators.co.uk/payslip-calculator.php
A spreadsheet is the best way, not too difficult to knock up and you learn a lot about how the system works.0 -
This is the best tax calculator to use. You will need to put in your figures for taxable pay and tax paid to date, then figures for your new job for the first month then repeat for each month after that.
