DRAMA 3 COMPETITION – ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Competition closes at 10am on 02.09.2019 and 3 working days later for postal entries.

1) The prize comprises:
a) Return economy flights for two with United Airlines from London Heathrow to Houston, Texas;
b) Car hire for the duration of the stay with pick up and drop off at Houston Airport;
c) Two (2) nights’ four-star hotel accommodation in Houston, Texas based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a double/twin room on a room only basis;
d) Two (2) nights’ four-star hotel accommodation in San Antonio, Texas based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a double/twin room on a room only basis;
e) Two (2) nights’ four-star hotel accommodation in Fredericksburg, Texas based on the prize winner and their companion sharing a double/twin room on a room only basis;
f) Travel insurance; and
g) £1,000 spending money for the prize winner only.

2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of the date of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
3) The prize must be taken and completed within 12 months of the congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and cannot be taken over Christmas and New Year (19th December 2019 to 3rd January 2020). The prize and its components are subject to availability.
4) The prize winner and their companion must hold current and valid passports and any other relevant travel documentation required for travel to and entry to the USA including but not limited to making a timely application for receipt of ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) authorization under the Visa Waiver Program. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise and pay costs associated with obtaining visas for themselves and their companion. Passports must be valid for travel with a minimum of six (6) months on the date of departure from the UK when taking up the trip.
5) The car hire is available where the prize winner or one of the prize winner’s companion must be the driver aged between 25 and 75 and in possession of a full, clean licence held for at least 3 years. Holders of non-EU licences must also produce an international permit valid for at least one year. The lead driver must be in a possession of a valid credit card (not a debit card) for security deposit to collect the car, which is refundable upon safe return of the car and provided the car is returned to the drop off point with the fuel gauge at the same level as when the car was collected. The car includes GPS, unlimited mileage, full car insurance, local taxes and fees. Fuel is not included. Charge for additional driver if required is not included, must be paid locally and is the responsibility of the prize winner.
6) Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companion(s) to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical condition and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companion(s) are aged 69 or over.
7) Where the prize winner is under 21 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over to check into the hotels. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check in at the hotels for security deposit purposes. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to ensure that they and/or their companion adhere to the local laws in the USA. It is highly recommended that the prize winner and their companion obtain advice from a medical professional in advance of travelling and ensure that vaccinations are up to date.
8) The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK, additional meals and drinks which are not included in the prize, additional excursions, attractions, treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, visas and vaccinations where required and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize. USA tourist tax must be paid locally by the prize winner at each of the hotels.
9) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability. Neither Channel 5 nor Element will accept responsibility for the hotel or any facilities / elements of the prize being unavailable, withdrawn or amended.
10) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize.
11) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
12) A cheque for the spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.
