Finally found gears of war ultimate online game last night since purchasing xbox one a couple of months earlier.
Feel slightly embarrassed as I couldn’t find any online gamers via gow u -menu options for multiplayer.

Found by accident last night there ARE a few online gamers via xboc1 U.I.!
5 killls feeling very happy.
That’s next few nights home fun.

    It's not a large gaming community here and GoW Ultimate has a very small community in general. I put a good few hours in GoW4 but I'm finished with it now, I'd recommend the Gears Reddit although there's little UE talk on there either now:

    Thanks redddit seems more inclined towards p.c.
    I did find one successful online game Weds though not Thurs.
    I have one or 2 multiplayer’s starting from 23:00 (possibly gmt) via gow Ultimate Mexico i.e. xboxone u.i. -Sat and Sun.
    Maybe I’ll have to re live my youth and stay up late this weekend.
