£5,000 and we'll both be saving £2,500 each to put towards it.

Doing the invites & signs etc ourselves and would have a website to RSVP on with all info needed.

I'm hoping just some's car who's going as I don't see the point in paying for a car when we've already got loads of family member's or a friend with them.

we don't have a date yet so I can't really make the car arrangements

Depending on your dress, shoes wont matter really. Mine were £20 from newlook and just a plain nude colour so can be worn again. They only lasted till the wedding breakfast & then the slippers went on. No one knew unless I told them.

I've purchased 1 pair of wedding shoes for myself.
    White hi-top diamante sneakers for £5.00 (£.95 p&p) from everything5pounds.com
my dress would cover these anyway but they looked too good for me to not get them.

    I thought that 1) people won't see them 2) i can re-wear them 3)I'd rather be comfy.

Total spent on wedding so far - £63.00
Total saved for wedding - £626.90 in bank

The photographer will probably be double that if you want before/during/after pics.. they are extortionate.. but they often spend a lot of time editting etc.. and tbh, you get what you pay for. The basic packages for weddings are usually in excess of £1000.

Try approaching the local colleges, a lot of the 3rd year photography students are building portfolios and taken excellent pictures and at a much cheaper rate!!

Hair/make up.. that is again a low estimate.. it might do you but not any bridesmaids/mothers/etc .. again look at local college... they might be a bit slower but they know what they are doing and appreciate the experience. Same with getting nails etc done.

Cakes usually start at around £150.. unless you are getting something plain. and the best people get booked up a couple of years in advance.

I'm hoping to do the music ourselves since I pay for spotify and the hall is licensed for us to do that.

I already have my wedding shoes, they fit like a T!
But I kept the price there in case I saw a nice pair for reception / to keep the budget as £5,000 as I may use that £30 for something else.

I've saw a make up & hair artist for £130.00 for myself & charges £90 for hair & make up for bridesmaids or the mums of us two.

We've been to a few wedding fayres recently that have different suppliers there and many of them will give discounts if you say you saw them at the wedding fayre.
We've budgeted £1000 for our photographer, my sister is a professional photographer but she's a bridesmaid so won't be taking any pictures. But it's like she says, the photos and album are all we'll have left from the day so it's something we shouldn't skimp on.
