Amazon won't take my money

Hi all,

Purchased two items on Friday night from Amazon totalling 36 gbp.

I had to cancel the card I used yesterday as it had been compromised somehow. The Amazon payment is still not showing on my statement.

Amazon have stated several times and in emails they have authorised and received the money.

The money came off my available balance on Friday, but it went back into my available balance last night, which is when I noticed something wasn't right.

Santander have advised that Amazon were due to collect it yesterday, but due to the card being cancelled yesterday afternoon it hasn't went through.

Santander say speak to Amazon, and Amazon say the bill has been settled speak to your bank.

I am at a loss, as I now have goods that I haven't paid for and was concerned they would send a debt collector or threatening letter. The money definitely hasn't came out of my account and Santander have advised it won't.

Amazon are having none of it and said there is nothing to do the full amount was successfully authorised and charged.
