Cardigowns are like a short dressing gown, but you can get a top made of same fleecy fabric pulls over the head instead of wrapping round, so it depends if you're wearing it to sit and read or actually sleep in.
Don't know if they are a seasonal thing, they were I the shops at Xmas.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
I have a heated matress cover (relaxwell by dreamland I think) which doesn't take very long to warm up at all. The standard setting is about 1 hour which is perfect.0

I have a super soft fleece jumper I picked up from Asda a few years ago in their PJ section. Was £6 and I wear it in bed when I'm not ready for sleep.0

I have a couple of worn cardigans for this purpose.
Otherwise, I just wear my 3/4 dressing gown.0 -

I've a lovely snuggly chenille short bedjacket that I wear whilst reading in bed in winter. Keeps my arms warm, as I like the room quite cool. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.31% of current retirement "pot" (as at end March 2024)0

We have a great electric blanket but my wife is worried it will frazzle my swimmers so it's banned until we have another child.0

I inherited a spare one of these from my aunt, beautiful silvery faux-fur type fleece. I will use it if I'm sitting up reading in bed for a while - absolute bliss, especially in the morning when the house is cold, but I agree with others, I wouldn't sleep in it.***Mortgage Free Oct 2018 - Debt Free again (after detour) June 2022***

I've a very old Primark fleece v-neck that I use on cold nights if reading . I hate a warm bedroom but equally hate shivering if I'm not completely under the duvet. I take it off when I'm ready to sleep (unless it is really cold). I love my heat pads as well on cold nights, one on my feet and one at my back heat the bed nicely but don't stay too warm for too long so I don't over heat.0
