Thank you , there hasn't been a recent thread like this in years,
be nice to catch up with each other all in one place. :rotfl:
How exciting!!
I need to save £657.74 before i can book a date
as that's enough to pay the registry office in full as well as the reception venue in full with the deposits and little bits paid for as well. The future husband doesn't want to book anything until we have the money up together but these are the important bits to be paid for so I'm hoping as soon as I save that amount, he'd be open to book it.
I'm trying to put everything i can into my wedding fund to get there sooner lmao .

we've only been engaged a week so i should probably calm down but im excited!0 -
Hey everyone sorry i haven't been replying - I've been super busy lately with overtime and personal things! It's great to see you all!
that's awesome , FutureGirl. You've got a bit of time to ensure everything is sorted.
At least you have a date lol.
Welcome aboard, Katapolt!
How exciting! It's okay to be excited and want to plan everything straight away!
I know i did.
My updates
* Purchased 4 "Bride tribe" purses for the adults in my bridal party = £16 (£4.00 each)
* managed to put another £200 away this morning as I got paid. Almost at the £1,000 mark!
* The future husband hasn't shown much interest in wedding planning as in he just says what ever i want is fine to him but has now suggested to have a wedding planning meeting !! **Woop woop**
* I'll wait until we have the entire budget saved as There isn't a rush and I'm hoping to save enough by may 2019 or sooner if i get my side hustle on.
* Guest lists are hard to do !
* Had casual conversation with my f.h about little things such as if we are going to have the reception as formal/semi-formal wear & both decided jeans & a tshirt will do 'cos we ourselves hate dressing up , having a mix of music and letting guests request songs and we're not having seating plans - it'll get complicated with my family...a lot of drama !
* I can't decide who i want for my bridal party without leaving some outWedding Fund: £1107.23 / £2,500 Xmas'18: £100.00 / £300.00 Emergency Fund: £100.00 / £1,000H2B ISA: £30.500 -

my dream venue is booked on the date we had hoped were now deciding what other dates we can do, but were limited to bank holidays/half terms0

sorry to hear that, Katapolt.
Hope something turns up for you soon.
I spoke to my f.h and sorta...in a nice way...got him to agree on booking at date in October ready for next year. He's been showing more intrest in planinng a wedding now. maybe it's because time is closing in on us a little. he did say no to booking when i first suggested (back in april) because he thought it was a massive amount of time away wheras in october it'll be just less than a year (hopefully) we don't really care about a date but I may need to check with work about what dates are booked in aug-october next year .Wedding Fund: £1107.23 / £2,500 Xmas'18: £100.00 / £300.00 Emergency Fund: £100.00 / £1,000H2B ISA: £30.500
