Waitrose free coffee - has it ended?

in Gone off!
I have been to my local Waitrose twice during the past week and, on both occasions, there was an ‘out of order’ on the in-store freebie coffee machines. Can’t believe neither of them is working but no colleagues on the customer desk to ask if it has been stopped?
Does anyone know if this benefit has been stoped?
Thank you!

was working in my store at the beginning of the week. However the machines are quite often out of order too.0

Not stopped. Enjoyed a coffee yesterday evening.
Does your branch have a cafe attached? If so, will they provide a coffee if the self-service machine is out of action?0 -
Do you normally go for cappuccino or latte? I prefer the cappuccino0

I order the cappuccino too.
The machines are simply customer operated drinks machines - they don't just provide free coffees. If you want you could pay for the coffee (£2.20 for cappuccino IIRC). So just because a machine isn't working doesn't signify they aren't providing coffees as a benefit any more - it just means their machine isn't working.0 -
Sheffield machine still working & where there are cafes attached, you can present your cup & receipt to the till staff and stay politely friendly.
Waitrose haven't stopped it, but nor are all stores making it reliable/easy.0 -
I imagine it's being abuse by the riff-raff stocking up on excellent quality coffee beans has made machines break down.. you'll get the great unwashed in filling up their 2L jugs.
The things people do to avoid paying for stuff is unbelievable.0 -
Ours is still doing them
No great unwashed either0 -

Don't forget your free newspaper for a £10 spend.
The newspaper itself,, and the coffee and the Waitrose magazine all contribute towards the value of the spend.
And the coffee grounds make a great mulch in the garden0 -
