Tax Relief question

Options
Hello,

Not sure if this question is in the right forum but i will ask anyway.

My annual pre tax salary its approx £86k and from this I, and my employer, together pay around £25k into my DC pension via Salary sacrifice. Ok so far but this year i unusually got a £20k bonus. So my total salary is £106k. Does this mean they will report a salary of £106k to HMRC on the yearly P60?.

I ask as if they do i will have to pay additional tax and it does not seem to matter how much money i contribute to the DC scheme to get me under £100k.

Thanks if you can help.

Not quite sure exactly what you mean, but if you are referring to the loss of some or all of your personal tax allowance, then if your 106K gross earnings is before Salary Sacrifice and then after salary sacrifice it brings you in under the 100K then you will not lose any of your personal tax allowance.
