    Eat less calories, move more.

Fad diets are pretty much useless in the long term. Making small sustainable changes to your diet and lifestyle will result in steady weight loss which will be easy to keep off as all you have to do to maintain it is continue to eat sensibly.

I've lost 19kg in the last 10 months or so just by reducing portion sizes to a sensible amount (weighing out rice etc instead of eyeballing a portion) and making some healthier swaps (having brown bread, rice and pasta instead of white for example).

I still eat pretty much what I want, when I want - just less of it, and the unhealthy stuff less often. If you're currently eating a lot of fatty fried food for example, swapping to grilled or baked instead is a great first step. You'll soon find that your tastes change and you no longer even want the bad food you used to enjoy.

    Good luck!
