Advice about a company

I have been in contact with a company called trusted McKenzie friends. I have looked everywhere for info on them but can't seem find any except for a small amount on Facebook. Has anyone heard of them before?

    What is it you are wanting help with, is it a legal issue ?

    Best to just tell us the story instead of drip feeding snippets of info.

They have copyrighted their name (it's not possible to do this, it should be a trade mark), "TrustedMcKenzieFriends.com is a trading style of Trusted Group Holdings Limited" This is a very new company according to Companies House; https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11536335


    I'd run a mile to be honest, they make claims that people can write off 98% of their debts, in most cases this isn't possible, and it looks as though they charge for their services. You're much better off contacting a debt charity or your local CAB.

    It's best to walk away from anywhere like this. It's a new company, their claims are just OTT and their charges are very unclear. The last thing you want is to pay through the nose for help that isn't helpful.

    If you need legal advice, it is not just the quality of advice you have to concern yourself with but also whether there is comeback if the advice/help is wrong. Solicitors carry insurance and are subject to regulation. McKenzies aren't.

    If you are simply wanting someone to come to court with you, they would be a McKenzie and if you wanted them to speak on your behalf, they would be a Lay Rep. Not all courts are aware of the difference so here is the legislation. Assumes this is a County court and not the family court.

    This 'McKenzie friend' seems to offer debt advice and has the ability to wipe out 95% of a person's debt, for a fee.

    That is not what a 'McKenzie friend' does - so clear misrepresentation. Do you want to trust someone who can't come clean?
