    Just to give you a current benchmark of HMRC's performance, I received today - by post - a Self Assessment Statement dated 17th June 2018 for amounts due 31st July 2018.

    Interesting. Mine is also dated 17th June but I received it on Saturday 23rd June.

    B Awful - actually. Too many organisations are very slovenly in getting time-sensitive information out in a timely manner. At least this one only gobbled up a bit under half of the payment deadline.

    Doesn't help that very few letters are date- and time-franked nowadays, either. :(
