Again ive been extremely lax on MFW forums, including my own diary! The wek has been largely quiet moneywise. I've TT'd very well and have a weekly pit of £6.05 to OP later.

Payday is finally tomorrow and with our job list on the fridge it's getting bigger! We have plans for this summer to move a door into the living room, whilst decorating. And then we need carpet, curtains and new couch(s), so Mrs SJ has a project before returning to plan work!

One concerning thing for me is that a new coop has opened on the edge of our estate and I need to keep my eye on those nipping in trips of Mrs SJ!!!!!

Ok so a new week, fresh batch of cash in the bank and a fresh determination to post more and read more...so be warned (hopefully)!

The day started with a touch of mixed feelings. Joy at it being payday, but not joy at online banking being temporarily unavailable for me to look at! So instead of seeing all those figures at 7.30am, i had to wait until school run was completed and i sat at my desk at 9.20am!

Naturally i was eager to TT the 11p to my everyday saver. I then completed a few money shuffles to complete the last requirements of my Yorkshire bank switch, and am readily awaiting my free £150 (due by 8th May...).

Since then i've had to spend! £500 installment towards our hols was due, and i then followed this by finally purchasing travel insurance (cashback of course, don't panic).

So payday is half done, and at least 1 have 1 day to enjoy logging in and seeing a big balance as 26th is paying out day...

Bank site down first thing would put me in a grump!

    Nice payout for the switch.

11 years since I re-did the lounge  we badly needed a new sofa but until DS sits (rather than lays) I wouldn't pay out. Then got 2 x 2 seaters a year old from friends parents moving house last year - unhappy DS as he's almost 6ft and a 2 replacing a 3 seater ain't comfy laying down :rotfl: Lounge still not re-decorated though, am going to tough it out a bit longer!

Holiday to look forward to sounds good and enjoy the bank balance today :)

We'll be 9yrs by this Easter! Will be going from having a nice corner couch with ample room for 2 adults of leisure, to soon to have 2 x 2 seaters for mummy and 3 kids, and 1 big chair for daddy & pouch!

Ours are 8 years old and still going strong, no plans to replace yet. Me and the cat and the littlies get the 3 seater whilst DH gets two 2 seater to himself, something wrong there me thinks!

60p TT'd this morning and a NSD yesterday. After hoping I'd have a 2 brick month this month I've failed! Will fall about £65 short, however that means I'll definitely make it next month! My only hope is Yorkshire pay the switch bonus 2 weeks only....no chance!

Clyde$dale paid our bonus at exactly 60 days, so I'd guess Yorkshire would be the same. At least you'll get your 2-brick month next month!

Hidden I suspect you're right. I'm presuming Clydesdale aren't an option for my next switch victim? I need to start having a look around...

Just got my interest off tesco current account and I had a nice surprise of an extra £1.11 for the tax not being deducted! The account isn't quite full by the way. Give it another day or 2 and my second tesco account pays interest too.

I've also been musing on the 2 brick month and have made a decision (as no doubt some of you already suspect), whatever I am short I'm going to add a bonus payment to! I can deal with the money shortcomings next month if needed (which probably won't be)!

Sadly no, as they're linked the switch fine print says you can't get it if you've gotten it already from either bank.

:T Well done on deciding to top up the OP for the 2-brick month. I often find we get complacent with our budget and don't push ourselves as much as we could if we had to stretch / think outside the box a bit.
