Equifax credit check question

Options
I have just done a equifax credit and points check online and noticed on the monthly payments list where it normally starts "SSS0000000000000"
There are a couple of letters I am not sure about.

They are S, N, U, and Q

The Q from Orange has queried on the list which was about 6 months ago.. Does anyone know why they would do this and also the meaning of the other letters.

What annoyed me was I had a single score of 525 and family score 532.
Loads of green lights but on credit it was warning and fair due to a one months arrears back in 1996 which I dont understand as it was direct debit.
Plus as it was in 1996 surely it should have been removed after 6 years.

thanks

Mike

    I thought that full details of what each letter means were included in the online report? Mine's expired, so I can't check. Can you log back in and take a closer look?

    Otherwise, suggest you contact Equifax.

    Don't worry too much about 1 month's arrears as this has little effect on your overall record, especially if there are other satisfactory accounts. Everyone is late now & then ;)

    It could still be showing as a late payment if the account is still open - again, check with Equifax.

    Sorry not to be able to answer more directly
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)

    According to my Equifax report:

    S = Settled or satisfied account
    N = Facility not used
    U = Unclassified - No payment due or recently opened account
    Q = Query

    I hope that helps.
