Tesco Pay+ issue if linked to Tesco creedit Card

I've been using Tesco Pay+ recently but there has sometimes been a problem at the till as a warning was displayed that management approval was required. Each time the transaction eventually went through so I thought nothing of it.

These are normally small amounts and I rarely take the receipt but I was handed one and noticed that my clubcard points weren't added so I emailed Tesco.

They came back within minutes for some more information and then rang me. It appears that if you have linked a Tesco credit card to the Pay+ app it doesn't give you your points (it does give the usual credit card points). The woman went through my spend and has arranged to add my points and I have changed my linked credit card points.

It would appear that this is a known issue so if you have linked your Tesco cc to your Pay+ I would suggest that you check that you're getting your points. As far as I can make out this is only staffed tills as I have received points for self-service.
