I have a brand new gift boxed bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Lable whisky but I am struggling to find anywhere online to sell it due to the sales of alcohol policy.
Have tried Ebay and Shpock both time by ad has been removed.
Any ideas please?
Thanks Fx

Aren't there specialist sales of high value booze by the big auction houses? Might be worth checking their websites.0

Yes there are.
Most reasonably big auction houses have a wine & spirit valuation & specialist sales.
Be warned though there will be a hefty commission & VAT to pay.0 -
If its under £200, a Facebook selling page may be the answer? Not sure on their views on alcohol either, but unlikely to hurt to try.
Sealed, could you coax a pub into buying it?0 -
How did you get it?
If it was a gift from a whisky lover, they might appreciate you giving it back to them saying "Can't justify opening this; you have it back and enjoy it"0 -
I often get whiskey given to me, but I don’t like the stuff. A friend who has a supermarket buys it from me and sells it through his shop. Probably illegal in some way. JB Blue might not be a big seller in your locality.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0

Another option might be to join a whisky appreciation forum and drop the odd hint..0

Even a local auction house will take it, all the ones I go to sell a lot of booze especially at this time of year. There is no 'set' hammer price it depends on how popular the make is and whether you get two bidders willing to fight for it , I've seen good whisky go at 20% of the original cost, right up to about 75% - and expect to pay up to 25% in fees on the hammer price. Always ask the auction house though what fees they take as they can vary enormously.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi,
Where can I sell an expensive bottle of whiskey?I have a brand new gift boxed bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Lable whisky
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Whisky is a 'Scotch', whereas whiskey, with a 'e' refers to Irish whiskey.
You could raffle it in your local pub or workplace.
Good luck.0
