Morning.
Another cold morning here, winter is definitely on its way, CH has been put on for am hour to take off the chill and heat some water, I really miss having a combi gas boiler where you could turn on a tap and have hot water on demand, but I wouldn't swap where we live now so that's just something I have to live with.
Animals are all sorted, stove lit and wood brought in.
This morning I need to tidy kitchen and do some ironing as it is taking over the dining room, make a meat and potato pie from left over beef casserole, plenty left but not enough for 4 adult potions so thought if I bulk it out with potatoes and stick a pie crust on it will feed us all happily with some peas.
Banking checked and a TT of £1.01 sent to hols pot, 1000 n£ctar points redeemd from £r£wards, so that's £5 of free food, will certainly pay for next weeks milk and bread
.
Won a couple of items on £bay, really pleased as one item is new with tags and the other item is a discontinued item that DD collects and I know she will be happy come xmas morning.
Think that's all from me, better get some surveys done before kids get up demanding breakfast.0 -
 gone to withdrawal money from paypal and I have a had a minimum withdrawal limit of £90 placed on my account, no idea why or been warned about it, so mad as I have had a paypal account for at least 10 years and never had a minimum withdrawal limit:mad:.
I have emailed them so waiting for a response whilst my money is stuck.0 -
Afternoon.
Paypal account seems to have been sorted and been able to withdraw some money which has gone to hols pot.
Redeemed £10 amaz0n voucher from survey site.
Went out last night for a couple of drinks with friends, £10 spent and an excellent evening was had, funny how I was umming and arring about going out as I didn't want to spend the money, silly really as its such as small amount to spend to have a lovely evening with good friends and I know it is also good for mental health, we all need people in our life that we can be ourselves around, I have had too many fake friends over the years that I have finally learnt to let go of as they were not good for me, most recent was a person who would ask me the price of everything and tell me the amount she had spent on everything, life was a competition and she had always done it bigger and better, I found her so life sucking and dreaded seeing her. Age is teaching me to only have people who love me for me around and to nurture them and not take them for granted.
Veg box delivery arrived and kids were very excited about the huge pomegranites, lots of lovely thing all yummy and healthy and I was also sent a free jar of dried chillis, these will come in very handy and were a lovely surprise, going to try if possible to allow myself £20 a week for my delivery as I do love it and I stopped getting it for a while, but going to try and budget for it, have placed an order for a veg box next week and was given a voucher to order £10 of items from their essentials list, so I've ordered butter, bread, milk and yoghurt won't be enough for a full week but will really help.
meal plan for next week done and shopping list sorted, I have £5 in nectar points to use and will try and come in under £10.
2 items listed on £bay, will see how they go. Also thinking of listing a piece of jewellery that I have had for over 15 years and have never worn, not sure why I am hanging onto it really, I think its guilt as I know it cost around £50 and tat was a lot for the person that bought it for me but i'm just not keen on it.
Better start tea as we are off out to a bonfire display later.0 -
Its raining cats and dogs here, so both kids have screwed their faces up about going to the bonfire, not that Myself or DH are bothered, So i'm going to put £5 in the hols pot as I would easily of spent that.0

Afternoon diary.
Not quite sure where today has gone but its certainly been a nice day so far.
Got up early and went shopping to Mr S as I had a voucher for £3 off a £20 spend and some nectar points to use, total after voucher and points was £14.55 which is ok, I was wanting it to be less but as the week has gone on I added bits to the list we had run out of, still can't grumble, may need milk later in the week though.
Been and caught up with a friend, took some HM goodies with me and we sat around her fire having a good old gossip, 3 hours later I said I better go home and do something, but I could have quite happily sat there for another 3 hours, thankyou universe for good friends and HM cake.
Home and have started a lasagne for tea and put shopping away, now I'm sat drinking and tea and catching up on diaries, need to get my butt moving.0 -
Morning diary.
Banking has been checked and a small TT of 89p has gone to hols pot.
I have tweaked my meal plan slightly, due to the fact the chickens are on strike and not laying at the minute, this is a problem as we do use a lot of eggs for breakfast, baking, yorky puds to fill out meals etc.
So this weeks meals -
Breakfasts - porridge/cereal/toast and jam or waffles/crumpets.
Lunches - tuna/cheese or ham sandwiches, toasties, HM soup. (leek and pot this week).
Main meals for this week.
Sat - lasagne and G bread.
Sun - Rst chicken, rst pots, rst veggies (squash, beetroot, carrots).
Mon - Gammon, eggs(if we have any), grilled tomatoes/mushrooms
Fried potatoes.
Tue - Jkt pots beans, cheese or left over bolognaise.
wed - Pesto spaghetti with tomatoes and mushrooms.
Thurs - sausage meat & mushroom plait, broc/carrots and mash pots.
Fri - Fish & sweetcorn potato pie & roasted veggies.
Desserts will be yoghurts and there is some icecream which we might have with some stewed fruits or fruit crumble (free apples from neighbour), as we have an egg problem (no cake) I need to make biscuits today and some rice crispie cakes.
DH has lunch at home everyday so usually has soup or leftovers, kids both have packed lunches, so sandwiches for them DD likes quiche but that's impossible with no eggs so she won't be happy, I take left overs or HM soup and fruit to work for lunch.
So hopefully apart from some milk I shouldn't need to buy anything else this week, although I might cave and buy some eggs from the neighbour if her chickens are laying.
Sorry ended up being a ramble about food, hope I've not bored anyone.0 -
Hope the chickens start laying soon Pennywise!!! How annoying do they not realise how much they are saving you!!!! I love to see that you are super organised with the food as per usual xxMummytogirls x0

Evening diary.
Back to work after a lovely week off, managed a NSD and we all took lunch, DH was away at a meeting and had lunch provided.
Moneywise I have received £20 from a survey site and £3 from a small sale on £bay, this has been transferred into hols pot which is adding up nicely.
Couple of DD payments have left account to credit cards, need to tot up what bills are left to be paid and then start planning some xmas shopping spends.
Cannot believe how cold it has turned, lots of layers worn today trying to keep warm, need to hunt out gloves and scarves.
Hope everyone is ok.x.0
