Hi,
I've just finished reading all your diary, you're doing well and have encouraged me to try and stick to a smaller ( maybe not £10) food budget until next pay day.0 -

Well I have just booked my table for my birthday lunch which I will be paying for! 'Sigh' it's no fun having a birthday when OH is away. But bless MIl she had the children waiting with flowers and cake and they'd made bunting, I could have cried at the thought that went into it.0

That's so lovely of your MIL and children

I had a go at a ten pounds challenge, I have already spent 5 pounds-
2X reduced biscuits 1.13
1X reduced yoghurt 11p
2X reduced french fancies 98p
Bananas 34p
Apples reduced 15p
Haddock reduced 30p
Ribs reduced 30p
Milk 1.00
Sandwich reduced 46p
Teacakes reduced 24p
I know ive bought a lot of snacks but I use them for lunches and they'll last all week at least
So I have 4.94 left. I think I will need milk butter juice and cheese. Much harder than it looks !! :money:0 -
You've done really well, especially the haddock and apples! It is really hard, I have to plan well in advance for buying cheese!!! Value cheese is fine though! And Tesco is always having special offers. I think you've done amazingly well!0
