    That won't be much use in launching a case if, as been pointed out, the employer has destroyed potential evidence believing that any case was out of time.

    Seriously, not that strange! Unison gave no advice on a tribunal claim to a non-member. No union gives advice on tribunal claims to non-members. If you want to invent fictionalised situations to mislead people, at least do your homework first.
