Hi, I am 65 years old and am looking to buy my rented social housing property under the right to buy scheme. I am looking to purchase this with my son in law who is in his 30s. Could someone offer advice on who would be likely to offer us a mortgage based on these circumstances please? i have been advised that Barclays may but does anybody know of any others? Thank you.

Does your son-in-law currently live in the property and you are making a joint application or is he looking to help you financially with the purchase but not live there?0

Consider getting a mortgage broker but a lot will hinge on whether your son in law has RTB permissions or whether they can help financially to help you buy yourself"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
