Bank Account Question

Hi there, I'm about to file for bankruptcy and want to open a basic account ASAP. Most of them seem to ask for employment details. I'm not working (stay at home mum) does anyone know if there is an option for me? My husband will deposit some housekeeping money in it regularly Thanks

Just say your income is whatever your hubby is depositing in the account. I don't think any of the basic accounts insist on a minimum pay in anyway.
Having tried a few - my personal favourite has been Nationwide.0 -
I'd 2nd nationwide. I went in store they were great.
If you can, wait until after your interview to open a new account as any account you have open the OR will write to & this can be where problems occur (Barclays basic closed me, Santander held then closed). It's just easier to open after the interview!
I emptied my account too just before I applied just in case & don't close your old one before, let the OR & bank deal with it.0
